The SmartShield Technology creates a thin, permanent protective layer on the lens surface that is highly resistant to lipid and protein deposits from the natural tear film. This deposit resistance is particularly important for monthly replacement lenses, where accumulation over four weeks can otherwise compromise comfort and optical clarity.
